Comedian Spencer Jones was making some viral short films for Babyliss, as the character Ugly Billy, and he asked Will and I, with director Jon Riche, to get involved with him in making a couple of weird little home-made music videos to some songs he had written.
For the first one, I made a puppet beard, which I could operate while it was on Spencer’s face. The second video featured Spencer’s bare, shaved knee, which Jon then superimposed a real mouth onto. For both videos I adapted some socks and some charity shop soft toys into little puppets as backing singers.
