This music video by Simon Willows features Jack’s piano coming to life and messing with him as he tries to perform his song. We came up with various ideas for things the piano could do, and ways it could move, and put a storyboard and animatic together. Art director Owen Gundry and I worked out a few techniques and designs which had to be whittled down and combined into one or two versions of the piano; to fit within the budget. Owen and his team then constructed the pianos, with the surfaces printed out from photos of Jack’s original piano.
Will Harper and I then puppeteered the piano on set while Jack sang along and played the keys .
